The Korean smartphone maker LG is all set to host an event on August 7, 2013 in New York City. The company has already sent out invites for this event and said that it will be sharing more information in regards to the event in due course of time. LG has sent out these invites exactly a day after it announced that it will be deploying Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 processor in Optimus G successor. Therefore, it is being speculated that the company will be launching the Optimus G2 at the New York event. The Optimus G2 smartphone has been leaked quite a few times in the past few weeks. These leaks had suggested that the LG is eyeing Q3 2013 release for its Optimus G2 smartphone. TechTastic.com has also posted fresh purported pictures of the Optimus G2 smartphone and mentioned that the Korean smartphone maker will indeed be unveiling this smartphone at the August 7 event. The website also claims that the LG Optimus G2 smartphone will come with a 5.5-inch full-HD display. This smartphone is also likely to pack in an Adreno 330 GPU with 2GB of RAM. LG Optimus G2 will come with a 13-megapixel snapper and run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and will be layered with LG's own Optimus UI. Some news reports are suggesting LG will be looking at unveiling not just the Optimus G2 at its New York Event but might also use the opportunity to showcase its Optimus L9 II too. This smartphone too had been captured by spy cameras in the beginning of this month. As far as the specifications of LG Optimus L9 II go, it is expected to come with 4.7-inch 720p HD IPS touchscreen display. It is alleged to be powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1GB of RAM. This smartphone is also said to offer Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. via Technology - Google News http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t&fd=R&usg=AFQjCNHWgVGIP0-AElrEbjDDNqTiixxCbQ&url=http://gadgets.ndtv.com/mobiles/news/lg-hosting-new-york-event-on-august-7-optimus-g2-launch-expected-383461 | |||
