KOREAN PHONE MAKER Samsung has summoned press to its next Unpacked event which will take place at Mobile World Congress (MWC) on 24 February, and likely will see the launch of the Galaxy S5.
We received Samsung's MWC invitation this morning, and the company strongly hinted that we'll be seeing it unveil its flagship Galaxy S5 at this year's MWC in Barcelona.
The invitation emphasises the number five, with Samsung naming the event "Unpacked 5". If we don't see the Samsung Galaxy S5 at the Barcelona event, we are going to feel cheated.
The invitation doesn't give much else away about the Samsung Galaxy S5. There is a passport style stamp covering the invitation, which The INQUIRER speculates could refer to new travel-themed apps from the company, or that the Galaxy S5 will be as thin as a passport.
Still, thanks to online speculation, we already know quite a lot about the rumoured Samsung Galaxy S5. The device is expected to launch in two versions - a high-end metal version, and a cheaper plastic model, and reportedly will have a 5in 2K resolution screen, a 64-bit Samsung Exynos 6 processor and 3GB of RAM.
There's also talk that the phone will feature an iPhone 5S style fingerprint sensor, a 20MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, a 2,850mAh battery and an updated version of Samsung's Touchwiz user interface.

It's unlikely we'll just be seeing the Samsung Galaxy S5 at next month's event. Speculation has suggested that the firm will also unveil its second generation Galaxy Gear smartwatch with its latest flagship smartphone, along with the Galaxy S5 Zoom and Galaxy S5 Mini.
We'll be at Samsung's Unpacked 5 event on 24 February, so be sure to check back then for all the latest. ยต
