Nokia Lumia 1320 UK Release In February - Know Your Mobile

Previously available in Asia, the UK is getting a release for Nokia's mid-range phablet

Back in October Nokia announced the Lumia 1320 but it was strictly for a release in Asia. Now consumers in the UK are going to be able to get their hands on the phablet.

Nokia's Lumia 1320 is expected in the UK by the end of next month. Carphone Warehouse has unveiled the device on its website and the listing says it expects to have stock at some point during February 2014, though there's no word on an exact date.

There's also no news on what the price will be, but considering it is a handset developed for emerging markets it isn't likely to be too  expensive.

The Lumia 1320 is being described as a less powerful version of Nokia's Lumia 1520 phablet. It has now appeared on Nokia's UK site with the label: "Coming soon."

Onboard there's a 6-inch IPS LCD display with Nokia ClearBlack tech, but at a lower 720p resolution than the Lumia 1520's full HD. The processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core chip clocked at 1.7GHz with 1GB of RAM, while the camera on the back is rated at 5-megapixels with a single LED flash.

The handset is fully 4G and 3G capable, there's 8GB of storage with microSD on top and you also get a 3,400mAh battery, much the same as the 1520. The 1320 is currently available in markets in which it has already been released as orange, yellow, black and white variants.

This handset could take off if the pricing is right, only time will tell. We'll keep you posted when we know an exact release date.
