Micromax Canvas Turbo Mini A200 Vs Intex Aqua Curve: Battle of Market Newbies - Gizbot

The year may have just started with just the first month coming to a close soon, but we have already been treated to a number of devices that have already provided a glimpse of what the year will be like, in terms of the next-gen smartphones that are to be released in the coming months.

And while there are a host of companies that are coming up with a number of smartphones almost every week, it seems two such manufacturers Intex and Micromax are looking to climb the charts in a hurry with their newly released smartphones in the market - Aqua Curve and Canvas Turbo Mini A200, respectively.

Micromax Canvas Turbo Mini A200 Vs Intex Aqua Curve: Race to Top

However, even though both the devices have come out in, more or less, the same time frame, it's needless to say that both the companies will be braced for a massive race to the top that's already contested by the likes of Nokia, Karbonn and others.

So what are the main features of these devices, and are they strong enough to at least withstand the competition they will look to face from each other? Let's take a closer look at the specifications both these devices are offering.

Display and Dimensions
Speaking about the Micromax-made Canvas Turbo Mini A200 to begin with, the device comes with a 4.69-inch IPS display having a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

The Intex Aqua Curve, on the other hand, sports a 5-inch qHD capacitive touch screen OGS (One-glass-Solution) curved display offering a resolution of 960 × 540 pixels.

Operating System
Not much to choose from here since both the devices run on Android Jelly Bean out of the box.

Camera
Differences, again, in this respect are very few. However, it seems like the Micromax-made Canvas Turbo Mini A200 may still get the last laugh if judged by the front-facing camera it posesses.

The Canvas Turbo Mini A200 sports an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with an LED Flash, and a 5-megapixel shooter on the front. The Intex Aqua Curve, on the other hand, offers an 8-megapixel Auto Focus Camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter.

Processing Power
As far as in-device processing power is concerned, the Intex Aqua Curve is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor. The Micromax Canvas Turbo Mini A200, on the other hand, features a 1.3GHz quad-core processor - again, most likely to be powered by MediaTek.

Storage and RAM
While the Micromax-made Canvas Turbo Mini A200 offers 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, with an expandable storage up to 32GB via a microSD card slot, the Intex Aqua Curve offers 1GB of RAM and an internal storage capacity of 4GB of which only 1.7GB is user accessible memory. However, the 32GB supported micro SD card slot keeps alive the option of further expanding the storage capacity.

Price
The Micromax-based device, owing to its slightly better specifications, has been priced at Rs. 14,990. The Intex Aqua Curve, on the other hand, is available for Rs. 12,490.

Conclusion
For a slightly greater price of Rs. 14,990, the Micromax-made Canvas Turbo Mini A200 can be a great buy for all those looking to own a smartphone that will offer almost everything at a cheaper price. However, others who are not willing to spend that extra 2K can look to go for the Intex device. Nonetheless, among the two, it seems like Micromax's Canvas Turbo Mini A200 has the upper hand.
