The Nokia Asha 501 has now gone on sale in global territories around the world. Thailand and Pakistan are the first countries to get this Asha OS smartphone, with India sales soon to follow. The Nokia Asha 501 is built around a 3-inch display with 320 x 240-pixel resolution, while the phone measures 99.2 x 58 x 12.1mm and weighs in at 91g. However, with a stunning two-part construction and a colour range that brings it in line with the more expensive Nokia Lumia line, the Nokia Asha 501 is set to be a popular choice. You'll find WiFi is built-in, along with a 3.2-Megapixel camera on the back, 4GB of internal memory and support for a micro-SD card up to 32GB in size. In terms of battery life you can expect up to 17 hours of talk time and up to 48 days in standby mode. Following the sales in Thailand, Pakistan and India, the Nokia Asha 501 will begin to rollout in various countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific. In late summer, the Nokia Asha 501 will start selling in Latin American, such as like Brazil. The phone is available in six colours: Cyan, Bright Red, Yellow, Bright Green, Black and White. It retails for approximately $99 before local taxes and subsidies. Nokia has yet to announce when the Nokia Asha 501 will be making its appearance here in the UK, other than it will be later in the year. However, with a Coming Soon page on the Nokia UK site we know it will be making an appearance. via Technology - Google News http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t&fd=R&usg=AFQjCNHLnvk2j7ntwPMoiSuUscVCp_lWQA&url=http://www.noknok.tv/2013/06/24/nokia-asha-501-smartphone-now-on-sale-in-global-markets/ | |||
