Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 is just round the corner and we are sure to see an array of flagship smartphones from the leading players in the industry. However, it is expected that we might also see some interesting entry-level smartphones being unveiled at this event. One such product is the Samsung Galaxy Star. As per news reports in SamMobile, Samsung is currently developing Galaxy Star GT-S5282, which is a low-end Android smartphone. The website further claims that Samsung Galaxy star will sport a 3.0-inch screen with QVGA resolution. It is expected to have a 4GB of internal storage and a microSD slot that supports cards up to 32GB. SamMobile also mentions that the smartphone will run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and will be powered by a 1200mAh battery. The reported connectivity options for this smartphone include Micro-USB, Wi-Fi- A-GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. The smartphone is expected to start shipping sometime in April this year. So far, there is no word in regards to what could be the price for this smartphone. About a couple of years ago, Samsung was offering its entry-level touchscreen feature phones under 'Star' series. However, from the specifications it seems that Samsung Galaxy Star could be an upgrade version of Samsung Galaxy Y smartphone. The Korean chaebol has already announced that it will be announcing TV Discovery service at the MWC. As per the company, this service will offers a faster and easier way for consumers to find and enjoy video and live TV content. There are also rumours doing the rounds that Samsung is holding another event on March 14, 2013 and is likely to showcase Galaxy S IV at this event. via Technology - Google News http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t&fd=R&usg=AFQjCNHfIeLjjFuGq49qQn1OTZkA7XRXPA&url=http://gadgets.ndtv.com/mobiles/news/samsung-to-launch-entry-level-galaxy-star-at-mwc-report-334225 | |||
