Auto Expo 2014: Tata Bolt and Zest at stylish best - Authint Mail

At Auto Expo 2014, Tata Motors has showcased 18 stunning vehicles and concept shaving positioned the brand in the biggest pavilion this year in conjunction with Jaguar Land rover.

Tata Motors product strategy for Horizonext shows off the premium Bolt hatchback, and sub 4-metre compact Zest sedan.

Tata Motors Zest and Bolt mark a new entry for the company's passenger car market rehaul having kept many waiting for a new vehicle after turning out multiple refreshed versions of old product lines. At first glance, new design aesthetics, and high-tech Infotainment system carry through.

Tata Motors Zest and Bolt have been designed and developed on 3 company principles, DesigNext, DriveNext, and ConnectNext. Both new cars benefit from collaborative design inputs from the three of the company's design studios in Pune, Coventry (UK) and Turin ( Italy).

The new Tata signature grill with the Humanity Line, dynamic headlamps, and flowing lines create an illusion of movement. The exterior design exaggerates size to make it appear larger than it really is. Zest sedan projector headlamps are complemented by chrome accents, daytime running lights, rear LED lamps, 15″ alloy wheels, and a signature Buzz Blue colour will hold your attention at first glance.

Bolt hatchback's floating roof spoiler furthers sporty and aerodynamics, and looks are enhanced with fog lamp Bezels. Both new car interiors point to premium. A driver-focused dashboard architecture, and instrument cluster with central AC vents connected in a single wing-shaped graphic emphasizes on next gen design from Tata Motors.

Tata Motors Zest and Bolt is powered by a Turbocharged Inter cooled Multi point Fuel Injected (MPFi) Petrol Engine, Revotron 1.2T. Diesel Zest is powered by F Tronic technology enabled, 5 speed Automated Manual Transmission and and segment leading 90 PS engine with 200 Nm of flat torque.

Both Tata Motors Zest and Bolt has EPAS (Electronic Power Assisted System), with 'Active Return' and speed sensitive power steering. New advanced ABS for improved braking efficiency, and Cornering Stability feature enhance vehicle safety.

Dual path suspension coupled with a zero pivot subframe ensures smooth and comfortable ride. Improved suspension doesn't compromise body control to better class leading balance between ride and handling ensuring comfortable and engaging drive experience.

Tata Motors Bolt and Zest use a HARMAN infotainment system with first-in-class features for connectivity. A 5-inch touch screen supports improved multimedia experience, advanced Bluetooth technology, smart voice recognition, advanced smartphone integration, supporting phone enabled navigation, social media integration, and touch phone controlled interface. The system has in-built HVAC controls. Manufactured on a completely enhanced X1 platform, Bolt and Zest are a new beginning in Tata Motors' global portfolio of cars designed to offer high performance and connectivity. Launch is planned in 2014 in India and then in other countries.
