It's five months since the Bill Gates company, Microsoft is on a hunt for its new CEO. The company might be closing in on the name of the future head of the company with the familiar face of Satya Nadella.
The Hyderabad, born Satya Nadella, who currently heads Microsoft's cloud and enterprise group, might be the next CEO reports indicate. "The company is close to naming Satya Nadella, the head of its corporate software and cloud computing business, as its next chief executive, according to people briefed on the process" reports NewYork Times.

The board is yet to take a decision on the role on Bill Gates, Microsoft co-founder. Gates might step down as Chairman and get involved as a strategic advisor while Nadella sits on CEO seat or, he might retain the Chairman's position.
In the race to the top position the names that were being considered included Alan Mulally, CEO Ford Motor, Satya Nadella, Ex. Vice President Microsoft Cloud & Enterprise Group and Stephan Elop who was the head of Nokia. Acquisition of mobile handset business of Nokia in 2013, fuelled rumours on Elop as a very important competitor.
By the end of November last year two names made it to the top in the race - Alan Mulally, CEO Ford Motor, and Satya Nadella, Ex. Vice President Microsoft Cloud & Enterprise Group. Later Mulally denied that he is interested to run for the Windows OS company's top post.
The name is yet to get the final stamp, but the announcement of the names could be anytime next week.
The current CEO Steve Ballmer in August 2013 announced that he will retire within next 12 months.
