We take a look at its price & specs One day ahead of its fixed release date, Sony's Xperia Z Ultra phablet has arrived in the U.K. stores. The 6.4-inch highly technically qualified device is now up for grabs or pre-order from a lot of U.K. vendors and carriers. The major U.K retailer Clove UK has announced that they would have the white and black version of the Xperia phablet in stock that could fulfill all their pre-orders. The much-touted Sony phablet comes for £612, bundled with Sony SBH20 stereo Bluetooth headphones and a free Sony SmartWatch 2 for a limited period only. It was expected for release in the U.K. on Sept. 13, but the retailers have begun to offer it from a day ahead. Vodafone sells the devices through Phones4U, packed with a Sony dock and a casing. Another major carrier O2 sells the phablet through Carphone Warehouse for £599.99 commitment-free. The carrier also avails the device from its own stores. Some more retailers will soon be starting to sell the highly frenzied Android phablet, which is a strong opponent to the newly released Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The Xperia Z Ultra is an excellent piece of kit as it features a lot of great things that a phablet should need. First of all, the device mounts a great FullHD 6.4-inch display with a razor-thin 6.5mm body and more. It has a nice 13MP rear camera, a superbly performing 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM. Overall, the Xperia phablet has IP58 certification meaning that you can use it even while swimming in the pool or walking in rains.
