Fujifilm X-E2, a premium interchangeable lens camera with the latest APS-C X-Trans CMOS II sensor and the world's fastest AF, has been launched in India.
The camera is the successor of the Fujifilm X-E1 and promises image quality comparable with full-frame cameras. The company claims an unprecedented AF speed of 0.08 seconds, achieved by doubling the processing speed of the EXR Processor II. It is able to harness the
information taken from over 100,000 phase detection pixels incorporated in the X-Trans CMOS II. The 16.3 MP APS-C sized X-Trans CMOS II Sensor incorporates an original color filter array.
The X-E2 will have a combination of a manually adjusted aperture ring and a shutter speed dial on the top plate like in the X-E1. The X-E2 shoots Full HD video at up to 60fps and the AF tracking performance in movie mode has been improved with good focusing speed, accuracy and smoothness.
Plus, users can now easily transfer images wirelessly to a smartphone or tablet after installing the free FUJIFILM Camera Application app.
The X-E2 is priced at Rs 76,999 for body and Rs 1,09,999 with XF18-55mm kit lens.
