Rough and tough SUV Nissan Terrano to launch on 20 August - Daily Bhaskar

It's official now, the all new SUV from Nissan, the Nissan Terrano will unveil in India on the 20th of August.

Nissan has released two sketches of the upcoming model which shows it as sporting a look similar to the Renault Duster, but has more sharper in looks. "The Terrano will be essentially a rebadged Renault Duster underneath, but will receive major exterior design changes to differentiate from its cousin" reports carblogIndia. We can see in the pics that the rear side of the SUV is dominated by split tail-lights, a chrome strip above the number plate holder and  a smart rear-bumper.

The car has been recently spotted by a Team.bhp.com member on Chennai roads under testing. The pics were posted by Indianautoblog, which says "inside, we are expecting Nissan to make the functional cabin feel a bit more premium. The AC vents in the center are of a rectangular design with chrome inserts while the Duster has a circular vents."

The Terrano will be produced at Nissan's Oragadam plant in Chennai alongside the premium hatchback Micra, Sunny sedan and Evalia MUV.

Nissan is also rumoured to be launching the Terrano in a 4WD variant also. It is expected to be a all diesel vehicle at a price of Rs 8.90 lakhs.
