MTNL Mumbai site hacked by Pak hackers has been restored and has come back to life. Pakistan slogans were plastered on the site As the entire nation was busy celebrating the 67th Independence Day, nearly 72 Indian website including the Mumbai based Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) were hacked apparently by a Pakistan based hacker. Apart from the Mumbai MTNL website, that greeted the visitors with a "Happy Independence Day Pakistan" written in bold and accompanied with a cartoon, the website belonging to the Pune Traffic police was not spared.
Apart from posting the congratulatory message, the webpage of MTNL was rather defaced by the hacker who called himself 'Mr Creepy' and left a link to his Facebook profile. When clicked on the link, it opened a page on the social networking site that was named "Creepat Localhost" on which these hackers who address themselves as 'Napsters Crew', update the hacking assignments undertaken by them. In their latest update, the member said: "Lol Just rooted MTNL Server, feeling excited' followed by another status 'I told you People I am Back and I am unstoppable' with a picture of hacked MTNL website. Interestingly, the members of the community have also developed a product called 'Swari SMS Bomber'. In a statement posted on the page, the members described the product as an automated SMS sending tool with fake ids that would be used for educational purposes only. Meanwhile, the cyber security agencies have revealed that a Pakistani group used ID named as 'Hasman Hackers' to hack 72 Indian websites in a bid to compromise the security deployed for the Independence day celebrations.
