Mumbai: Mercedes-Benz India Pvt. Ltd introduced the latest model of the E-Class sedan produced at its Chakan factory near Pune in the local market, the company said in a release on Thursday. The petrol-driven E 200 CGI is priced at Rs41.50 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi, while the diesel E 250 CDI Avantgarde costs Rs44.48 lakh. The company is offering 100 limited edition E 250 CDI cars priced at Rs 49.90 lakh. The E-Class is the most successful Mercedes Benz model globally, with more than 11 million units sold, said Eberhard Kern, managing director and chief executive, Mercedes Benz India. "In India too, the E-Class has been the most sold luxury sedan ever and hence is a very important product in our portfolio, playing a vital role in the product strategy of Mercedes-Benz India.
