Huawei has hosted a partners' convention for the East and Souther Africa (ESA) region. The convention brought together the company's core partners, procurement senior management teams, technical service and project management departments to discuss deeper coordination in order to create more value together in future development. Huawei's ESA region's local purchase spend in 2012 was around USD 283 million, creating thousands of working opportunities at local companies. In South Africa, Huawei spent nearly USD 100 million on local companies and the majority of the expenditure went to BEE credit companies. With Huawei's business development strategy, the company hopes to spend more on local procurement, contributing more to the local economy. During the convention, the company's latest devices were showcased, including the Huawei Ascend Mate, Ascend G510, Ascend W1 and tje E5221. The convention climaxed with awards for the best partner and Outstanding Collaboration Partner Awards for 2012. ![]() via Technology - Google News http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t&fd=R&usg=AFQjCNHC37XPYRbLUKkGGTDTPqTQBAjHwQ&url=http://www.telecompaper.com/news/huawei-hosts-suppliers-convention-for-east-southern-africa--948430 | |||
