One of the highlights at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) was the company's announcement of a dramatically redesigned mobile operating system in iOS 7. The operating system, which Apple plans to release in the fall, probably in conjunction with the launch of the next iPhone, comes with a fully transparent design and a parallax user interface that ensures that apps and images on the screen are in line with the user's eyes at all times. Apple's iOS 7 is the brainchild of the company's design guru Jonathan Ive and looks to be one of the most impressive updates to the operating system in quite some time. Still, with such drastic changes comes some concern from consumers and enterprise users. On the consumer side, some iPhone users might be concerned by the idea of such a vastly modified operating system. Enterprise users might worry that the new features might have a negative impact on productivity. That is, unless users realize that the new operating system coul d very well be a major improvement from a productivity and usability perspective. By the look of things now that might just be the case. This eWEEK slide show examines what makes the new features in iOS 7 potentially more useful and appealing to the average user. ![]() via Technology - Google News http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t&fd=R&usg=AFQjCNEp8xByjrEieYnSYK30FE6JHcY59Q&url=http://www.eweek.com/mobile/slideshows/10-important-ios-7-features-worth-a-closer-look/ | |||
