Galaxy Note 510 launched - Deccan Chronicle

Hyderabad: Expanding its portfolio in the Galaxy Note category, Samsung Electronics Co Ltd launched the Galaxy Note 510 for the Southwest Asia market here on Thursday.

Calling it a mid-size tablet category that it created in 2010, the South Korean handset maker said that Note 510 will have an 8-inch screen and a Stylus Pen.

The company, however, did not disclose the price of the device.

Announcing the launch of Galaxy Note 510, Asim Warsi, vice-president, Samsung Mobile, said, "This new mid-size tablet is a combo of tablet, note, diary and an e-book." Samsung is the leader in the segment and has 43.3 per cent pie in the smartphone market in India.

On the apps side, the company has pre-loaded Awesome Note and Flipboard into the Android tablet for the first time with Galaxy note 510. For e-book lovers, the Note 510 has a customised reading set up called the 'reading mode' that offers optimal reading conditions to ensure that the user can curl up and enjoy the book.

The device also has a dual view feature through which the user can work on two screens simultaneously.

What's more? It can also be turned into a smart remote to manage TVs, Blu-ray players, etc. The Galaxy Note 510 has 1.6GHz A9 quad-core processor with Android 4.1.2 (Jellybean) OS, 5 megapixel (main) camera with 1.3 MP front camera.
