Gmail users across India and other regions are reporting problems trying to access the popular email service. Users are getting the 502 error that has become a bit of a familiar sight off late. Google confirmed a 'Service disruption' via its Apps Status Dashboard and posted the following update at 1:35 PM on Monday. "We're investigating reports of an issue with Gmail. We will provide more information shortly. Users are receiving an error with number 502." Users are complaining about Gmail's problem via Twitter and NDTV Gadgets readers left comments on our earlier story about their inability to access Gmail. At 1:50 PM IST on Monday, Google confirmed that 'less than 0.75%' of Gmail users were affected by an outage impacting users in India, Middle East and South East Asia.
Last week, there was another Gmail outage that Google later confirmed impacted "less than 0.5% of the Gmail user base". Google later fixed the problem and confirmed that a "small subset of users residing in India and the Middle-East region" had seen 502 errors while trying to access Gmail.
