Samsung ATIV SE specs and release date surface - TechnologyTell

Samsung Ativ SE

Samsung is rumored to be working on a Windows Phone 8 powered handset dubbed as Samsung ATIV SE, which is expected to hit retail later this month. The handset has been leaked on several occasions in the past, with @evleaks posting quite a few press renders of the device (as shown above).

A new report from The Verge mentions Samsung Ativ SE will launch sometime this month, and will come with Windows Phone 8 as its operating system, going against the earlier rumors that hinted at Windows Phone 8.1 as the OS. This is not a reason to get disappointed as Windows Phone 8.1 will undoubtedly come out for the handset once it's ready.

Samsung Ativ SE looks strikingly similar to the Galaxy S4, and The Verge mentions it will carry a similar set of specifications as the last year's flagship device. It is expected to come with a 5-inch 1080p display with Snapdragon 800 SoC under the hood. Other rumored features include 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage with a microSD card slot, and will hit Verizon in April.

There's no official confirmation from Samsung or Verizon about the launch of the device, nor about its pricing, but it should come with the same pricing as other flagship devices.
