Nokia Lumia 520 vs Nokia X vs Nokia Asha 502: A short comparison - Northern Voices Online

Nokia Lumia 520 vs Nokia X vs Nokia Asha 502: A short comparison

Nokia seems to be in a hurry to launch as many handsets in the market as possible. This is the reason that the Finnish tech giant has launched handsets in all shapes, sizes, with different specifications, features, different price tags and now an Android handset too.

The company seems to be following Samsung mantra that every smartphone lover should be able to pick one handset from its stable of whatever combination he or she is looking for.

So the smartphone maker has launched handsets ranging from 6-inch display to less than 4-inc display size and from Rs 6900 price tag to the upwards of Rs 40000.

And there is no denying the fact that Nokia lovers who had even lost interest in it a couple of years ago are lapping up to get hold one of the large inventory that the company is offering. They are excited and willing to test its handsets.

But unlike Samsung the company gives a lot better option to its fans as its mid-range and low-end handsets are better than the Korean tech giant's and they are cheaper and better value for money, for highly price-conscious Indian smartphone users.

There are many very affordable handsets for smartphone fans and the list includes Asha 502, Nokia X and Lumia 520.

Nokia Lumia 520
Nokia lumia 520 is a great handset. When it comes to display, despite its low price, Lumia 520 doesn't disappoint its owners. The Lumia 520 has a 4in, scratch proof IPS display with a resolution of 800×480 megapixels. The resolution provides a pixel density of 233ppi, which is slightly less than the competitor Lumia 620′s 3.8in screen but more than most budget smartphones at this price point. Even as the screen does a decent job at displaying the attractive Windows Phone interface, the colours at times appear washed out. The Nokia Lumia 520 comes with 5-megapixel camera at the rear which can record video at up to 720p. As far as operating system is concerned it runs on Windows 8. Its specifications are very impressive for a handset of this price. As far as its processor is concerned Lumia 520 is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor and Adreno 305 GPU. It comes with 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, which is expandable by another 64GB via a microSD card. The company is also offering 7GB of cloud storage via SkyDrive for this smartphone. It has connectivity options including GPRS, EDGE, Speed, WLAN, Bluetooth and 3G. It is truly a great handset and a great value for money. If you want to go for it, don't think twice. Go, get it.
