Motorola expected to launch new XT series phones in May - Firstpost

After impressing the Indian market with its handsets such as Moto G and Moto X, Motorola it seems is planning to come out with more affordable handsets come May. According to a leak published in Brazilian blog TecnoblogMotorola is planning to release three smartphones as early as next month.

These phones will have a thickness around 6.2mm and come in three variants: the single SIM XT1021, dual SIM XT1022 and dual SIM XT1025 with digital TV.

The new handset is expected to come in have a 4.3-inch display and will be powered by a 1.2GHz processor along with 1GB of RAM. It will come with 4GB of internal storage and will come with Android 4.4 KitKat on board. On the imaging front, it will have a 5MP rear camera. The battery capacity is rated at 1900 mAh.

Not much detail is available on the pricing front. It is being said that the dual SIM variant with digital TV will be selling for $257,  so expect the single SIM phone to be more affordably priced. Availablity in markets outside Brazil is also not known.
