Sony has started taking pre-order for its flagship Xperia smartphone. This phone launched at the Mobile World Congress recently and sports the company's best 20.7 megapixel camera that sports camcorder technologies.
The phone has got trimuminous display for mobile, Live Colour LED and digital noise cancelling technology and a water and dust proof body that makes it an awesome phone.
The Xperia Z2 pre-order has begun in UK and Germany at a price of GBP 599 and Euro 599 respectively, yesterday. The company is offering free wireless NFC speakers with the handset when you pre-order. The handset can be booked in white and black colour options on the webpage here.
At the time of its global unveiling Sony informed that this handset is going for a launch in March this year.

The Xperia Z2 is also heading for a launch India very soon. Sony has added the handset to its official website as 'coming soon'. For Indian Sony will bring a pink colour variant apart from the black and white one.
The handset has been priced at GBP 599 in UK, and at Euro 599 in Germany. When you translate this to Indian currency it comes to around Rs. 62014 (when you convert at the rate of GBP 1 = Rs. 103.52) or Rs.50900 (when you convert at the rate of Euro 1 = Rs. 85.06). Last year its younger cousin Xperia Z1 launched in India at a price of Rs. 42990. This year the new flagship is coming with a better camera, option for video recording in 4K and other features, and of course, new competition. We expect the company to go for a price point around Rs. 50000 for the Xperia Z2.

The Xperia Z2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2.3 GHz quad-core Krait CPUs and is 4G LTE ready. There is a large 3200 mAh battery with battery stamina mode that turns off the functions you don't need to save power when your display is inactive. The handset weighs 158 grams, runs Android 4.4 KitKat OS, 5.2 inch fullHD display, 3 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory and 64 GB expandable memory.
