Woohoo! The wait ends. After being on tenterhooks for almost 2 months, Moto G has finally arrived in India. And how!
Motorola Moto G
The result of the short but definitely sweet Google-Moto partnership created much hype as it was the mass 'budget' device. And it has managed to live up to all promises and rumours. Motorola finally launched the Moto G in India at the sweet price of Rs 12,999 for the base model! We can hear the whistles, folks!
Motorola Moto G is the 'mini' or the 'budget' version of the previously launched Moto X. Marketed as the "true patriotic" phone, Moto X was restricted to the US for the longest time and has finally managed to sneak to UK recently. However, there's no hope of it venturing beyond the Western shores and Motorola enthusiasts have to make do with Moto G.
Moto G might not be a flagship device but definitely is one of the best phones in the market, if the price-range and specifications are compared. The phone packs a punch and is serious threat to competition.

Motorola Moto G comes with a 4.5 inches Corning Gorilla Glass display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. There's no fully-HD tag but the screen is an IPS display with a resolution at 326 ppi. Under the hood of Motorola Moto G runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core 1.2 GHz processor with Cortex-A7 ARM. The phone comes in two internal memory variants: 16 GB and 8 GB. Moto has skipped the memory card slot for this one.
Keeping in line with most budget devices, Moto G comes with 1 GB RAM. The phone boasts of a 5 MP rear end camera and a 1.3 MP front-end camera. There's nothing to write homeabout the camera here. Running on Android Jelly Bean version 4.3, the phone has skipped KitKat. However, Google and Motorola plan to roll out an upgrade in the future. With a 2070 mAh battery, the battery life should be relatively decent. Motorola Moto G comes in a plethora of colours and though you can't customise the device, there are more than enough options provided by Moto.
The phone is priced at Rs 12,999 for the 8 GB variant and Rs 14,499 for the 16 GB version. A sweet device and we can see the dynamics of the budget device market toppling over with this new launch. Competition, beware!
