Yamaha India reported strong growth after venturing into the scooter segment and new variants of existing motorcycles helped strengthen this upward trend.
While Yamaha's mascot marks a new chapter, it certainly wasn't as exciting as the speculated launch that could have been. Yamaha Children Safety Program (YCSP) is a social initiative to educate and influence parents and children about road safety measures.
Conceived and developed by Yamaha Motor India, the mystical, cute, funny and brightly colored mascot is designed to appeal to kids here. YMIS's mascot doesn't yet have a name and for this, the company invites children to participate in a naming contest, which is being run from 10th-27th January. 5-12 year old kids are eligible to participate and need to register their name at the nearest Yamaha dealership. A 1 year scholarship and other attractive prizes will be offered to the winner, whose name will be announced on 5th February 2014.
