Micromax has recently released its latest devices called the Canvas XL and MAd A94 devices in the Indian smartphone market. The first one is a mid-range device while the other one is quite affordable and features average specs.

However, the company has already released a number of devices in this month. Most of these devices fall in the company's popular Bolt series. While competitor, Lava has also launched its device the Iris Pro 30 in the market few days ago. Thus it would surely give a tough time to Canvas XL device which falls in same price category.

Micromax has already announced its ventures to Russia from January 24. Thus the maker of Canvas 4 and Canvas Turbo are actually heading for something big. It has also impressed the fans by hiring Hollywood's famed actor Hugh Jackman as its brand ambassador.
The company also announced its hybrid tablet device called the LapTad at the International Consumer Electronics Show 2014 (CES) which is yet to get launched in India.
The company still occupies 2 position in the Indian smartphone market and if compared with the domestic vendors it stands first. Samsung has still got the strong hold on Indian soil.

Micromax A71
Micromax A71 comes with a 5-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display. It is powered by a 1 GHz single-core ARM Cortex A5 processor coupled with 512MB of RAM and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. The Micromax A71 has a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options in the device remain regular with 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth. The device also supports dual SIM (GSM + GSM) with Dual Standby. The smartphone has a very less internal storage capacity of 512 MB but it can be expanded up to 32GB using microSD card. The Micromax A71 which measures 10 mm thick draws it energy from a 2000 mAh battery which offers up to 5 hours of talk time and up to 200 hours standby time.
