Apple to sell iPhone 4 8GB in India for Rs 22900 and not Rs 15000 - indiatvnews.com

New Delhi: Apple is certain to relaunch the iPhone 4 in India as reported by the tech press earlier this week. But the only uncertainty about the device is the price point at which it will be sold to Indian customers.

Earlier it was believed that the iPhone 4 8GB will cost Rs 15,000 in India but current market reports suggest that Apple will not sell the device that cheap and instead it would cost Rs 22,900 with some buyback schemes.

Cupertino-based Apple discounted the iPhone 4 worldwide after the launch of the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S. Earlier it was retailing for Rs 26,900, which means that there will only be Rs 4,000 price cut with its reintroduction. However, these reports are not yet confirmed by Apple.

But one thing is sure that Rs 22,900 is still a high price point in the Indian market and there is stiff competition in this category from other handset markers.
