Samsung is constantly introducing faster, smarter, better android phones in the market at regular intervals. For the more mobile geeks, it becomes difficult to stay updated with the fast paced release schedule. In a bid to address this Samsung India has announced "Stay New" option and "Easy Buyback" offer allowing users to always have the latest and greatest android device in their hand!
Both the mentioned plans work in tandem. The rules are pretty simple to understand. Under the "Easy Buyback Offer" you can sell your old Samsung mobile phone back to Samsung itself and use the evaluated amount to buy another Samsung device. Now when I say 'evaluated', it means that Samsung will evaluate your device and suggest the buy back price. Once you do opt in to sell your device the amount will be remitted to your account.
Thereafter you can buy a new Samsung mobile device under the "Stay New" offer and pay the required amount in easy monthly installments. Sounds good. But there are couple of things to keep in mind here:
- Under the "Easy Buyback Service" only devices which have been purchased in the last 6 months and used for a minimum of 3 months are eligible for this offer.
- The "Stay New Plan" only covers a handful of Samsung devices. As of writing this article Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy Tab 3 311, Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy SIII can be purchased under this plan.
