(Credit: Gadget Love) Tech portal Gadget Love has just released two cool animated images to mark the recent launch of the Sony PS4 and Microsoft Xbox One. They are used to illustrate how the DualShock and Xbox game controllers have evolved over the years since the PS1 and the original Xbox.
Looking at the animated gif, you can clearly can see that Sony has largely retained the overall form factor throughout the revisions, while adding analog sticks and a touch pad to the subsequent models. Placement of the D-pad and face buttons hasn't changed much, too.
(Credit: Gadget Love) Meanwhile, Microsoft has been introducing more drastic physical changes between each iteration of its Xbox controller. Most notable is the iconic "X" guide button, which has been resized and repositioned.
