Datawind launches three sub- 6500 smartphones - Economic Times

NEW DELHI: Datawind has launched three low-cost dual-SIM smartphone models in India with five-inch screen sizes as the UK company seeks to make a dent in a market considered among the world's fastest growing for such devices.

The makers of the low-cost Aakash tablet have priced the smartphones around 40% lower than competitors in the Indian market, chief executive Suneet Singh Tuli told ET over phone from Montreal. The devices cost between 3,500 and 6,500.
