The description on the website clearly mentioned the "Moto G".
It read: "Moto G is designed for all the things you want to do-taking and sharing photos, watching videos, checking scores, getting directions, listening to music, you name it. Moto G also gives you choices.
"Different backs you can switch out to reflect your unique style, and access to more than one million apps on Google Play to create your own mobile experience. Every detail is just how you'd like it".
Motorola launched the Moto X in August, but it was never released in the UK.
The Moto G, which will be unveiled in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Wednesday, is expected to be a smaller, more affordable version of the Moto X.
Just several days ago an official-looking image of the mid-range smartphone was published on Twitter by @evleaks, showing the device will come in white, blue, green and pink.
The Moto G has been the subject of rumours for months. It is anticipated to have a 4.5-inch 720p screen with Gorilla Glass, quad-core Snapdragon chipset, 5MP camera with 720p video, and 8GB of storage.
It is reported to cost £135 off contract.
