HTC One Max: Fingerprint security; Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC has launched HTC One Max phone with a fingerprint scanner. The scanner is placed at the rear, just under the camera. Users can assign different applications to various fingers.

LG Nexus 5: Fully loaded; Google's Nexus series of phones have the latest version of Android and are free of unnecessary apps and customisation. True to that, the Nexus 5 is the only phone with Android 4.4 (KitKat). The 5-inch phone ships in two variants – 16 GB (Rs 29,999) and 32 GB (Rs 33,999). The phone has an 8-MP camera, which has "longer exposures, less blur and less noise".

MediaTek MT6592: Eight-core processor; MediaTek announced the launch of its chipset with an eight-core processor. The system on chip platform is called MT6592 and will feature on an upcoming Intex phone that has no name yet.
