Sony Xperia Z1 India launch confirmed for September 18 - AndroidOS.in

As earlier rumoured, Sony India is indeed going to launch its new flagship smartphone Xperia Z1 in the country on September 18. The company earlier today started sending out invites to the tech press in the country for the same. No other details about the India launch like pricing or availability details are known at this point and will be shared on the same day. To remind you, Sony Xperia Z1 features a 5-inch 1920x1080p TRILUMINOS display with X-Reality for Mobile, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 20.7MP rear camera featuring Sony's 27mm G Lens with F2.0 aperture and 2GB of RAM. The phone also packs 3000 mAh battery, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card support (upto 64GB) and Android 4.2. The smartphone will be released in Black, White and Purple colour variants. Sony is also expected to launch its Cyber-shot QX10 and QX100 lens-style cameras at this event but we are yet to get a confirmation on the same.
