After the grand entry of Galaxy 3 and Galaxy gear smartwatch by Samsung in India, it was rival Sony's turn to play catch-up with the launch of the Xperia Z1 on Wednesday, 18 September. Along with the Z1, which was unveiled originally at IFA, Berlin last month, the Japanese electronic major also launched the QX10, QX100 camera lens attachments priced at Rs 24,990 & Rs 12,990, respectively, along with the Sony SmartWatch 2 (priced at Rs 14,990) for the Xperia smartphones. "Sony India aims to increase its smartphone market share to 20 per cent by 2014. With its strong presence across the country, the brand is also targeting a total of 200 exclusive Xperia stores by 2013, up from the current 30 exclusive Xperia stores," says Kenichiro Hibi, MD, Sony India.
