Nidhi Singal Last Updated: September 18, 2013 | 17:31 IST It's raining phones in India. Just a day after Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Note 3, Sony has launched its new flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z1. Unveiled at the IFA, an international consumer electronics trade fair, in Berlin earlier this month, this Android smartphone featuring a 20.7 megapixel camera is available in India for Rs 44,990, starting Wednesday. The Sony Xperia Z1 has a five-inch full HD display with Sony's Triluminus display technology. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 chipset (2.2GHz with 2GB RAM). Its 16GB of storage can be expanded up to 64GB. It runs Android Jelly Bean 4.2, and has a 3000 mAh battery. The Xperia Z1, like other recent flagship Xperia devices, is waterproof and dust-proof. The 20.7 MP rear camera has a 27mm wide angle and bright F2.0 aperture, with a custom-made large 1/2.3-type CMOS image sensor. A few new camera applications have been added to the Xperia Z1. One of them, Social Live, lets you broadcast moments to Facebook and get comments on the screen. The Info-eye is an innovative visual search function that lets you get information about something - a landmark, book or wine, for example - by capturing it with the camera. Timeshift captures 61 images in two seconds, making it easier to capture the perfect action shot. The AR effect lets you overlay pictures with fun, customisable animation. Sony India aims to increase its smartphone market share to 20 per cent in India by the end of this financial year, and plans to have 200 exclusive Xperia stores, up from 30, by the end of 2013. ![]() via Technology - Google News http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t&fd=R&usg=AFQjCNHVWWHE9FWMgWG38BW9HvlikSnLzg&url=http://businesstoday.intoday.in/story/sony-xperia-z1-launche-price-in-india-features/1/198705.html | |||
