Apple's latest iPhone5S with a hi-tech security feature of scanning one's fingerprint can also scan cat's paw impressions to unlock the phone. Technology website, TechCrunch's blogger Darell Etherington said that cats have fingerprints just like humans and he found that he could register the paw of a colleague's cat on the latest iPhone5S. According to Fox News, the cat was able to unlock the phone using the paw that was registered, but not with the other paw. There has been growing debate about the TouchID feature, as some experts believe that it could lead to a rise in brutal crimes, with thieves defacing owner's fingers to get access to the smartphone. However, tech experts have dismissed the concerns saying that the sensor only identifies a 'live' impression, meaning the person needs to be attached to the finger registered, and needs to be alive for accessing it. ![]() via Technology - Google News http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t&fd=R&usg=AFQjCNGOhKRc29Ok9Yal3_N4QHy5SNeaTA&url=http://www.dnaindia.com/scitech/1891748/report-latest-iphone5s-can-also-scan-your-cat-s-pawprints | |||
