As it prepares to roll out Android 4.4 KitKat, Google is updating several core apps for its operating system for mobile devices.
The updated apps include YouTube, Gmail, Hangouts, and Google Voice, according to a report by IDG Creative Lab posted on PC World.
"Google's been on a tear as it finalizes its new operating system, which is in the final stages of being prepared to ship in the next few days," it said.
Earlier, Google announced it is naming the next version of Android after the chocolate-based treat.
The Internet giant has been naming versions of Android after desserts.
PC World noted Google has yet to formally announce when it will release KitKat or what upgrades it will have. — TJD, GMA News
