Seldom does an Amdavadi manage to get a job offer from American multinational US Microsoft. However, an alumnus of Ganpat University has earned this rare distinction by bagging a plum job with the US giant. That, too, with a whopping salary of US $1,80,000 per annum! No wonder, Priyanshukumar Jha is over the moon. Completed his schooling from Kendriya Vidyalay at Shahibaug and Bachelor of Technology in information technology from Ganpat University, Jha chose to do his masters at the National University of Singapore, considered to be one of the best in the business. "It was here that Microsoft came for recruitment. I applied to participate in the placement process. After a six-hour interview, they offered me a job at their US office in Seattle," gushed Jha. He added that only two Indian students were offered jobs at the US office. After completing BTech, Jha had worked with ISRO Ahmedabad briefly. "They have offered me US $1,50,000 per annum wherein the company would give stocks worth US $50,000, including a performance bonus of US $10,000," said the lad. Jha, who is expected to join office from October 1, is too exc ited about his new journey. "It is like a dream come true for me. When I was doing my bachelor degree, I always had the wish to work with Microsoft or Google — like any student wants," he said. "I am happy as I have got the opportunity to work with Microsoft's US office as real work is being done there," added the Amdavadi. Smooth sailing indeed! Not really because he was actually facing a problem of plenty. "I also had an offer from Google. But did not take it when I received the Microsoft offer," said Jha. ![]() via Technology - Google News http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t&fd=R&usg=AFQjCNFe1IP7hDbBV1IpRXCkYCHS56op0A&url=http://www.dnaindia.com/ahmedabad/1892344/report-amdavadi-bags-us-1-8-lakh-job-offer-from-microsoft | |||
