The Most Exciting Games From Gamescom - PC Magazine

Gamers descended on Cologne, Germany this week for Gamescom, a gaming conference intended to give Europe a first look at what's on tap for the gaming community in the coming year. In addition to news about a PS4 launch date â€" Nov. 15 in North American and Nov. 29 across the pond â€" we heard a lot about the games that would be available for Sony's console, as well as the Xbox One. Microsoft confirmed that the Xbox One will have 23 games at launch, with at least 50 titles scheduled for release in the near future. Sony also showed off its PS4 lineup at a high-profile press conference that included gameplay trailers and news on new games coming to its consoles. PCMag's sister network, IGN, is in Cologne covering all the action, and they have a full rundown of all the big news â€" which also included a price drop for the PS Vita and news about popular games that are coming to the big screen. IGN also has a new app for the PS4, PS3, and Vita later this year, which will bring its gaming coverage directly to console users.
