| Microsoft today unveiled the 23 game titles that will be available for the Xbox One at launch. Though Redmond on Monday released a list of 50 games that are expected to hit the Xbox One, today's list covers the games that will be available when the next-gen console hits store shelves. We still don't have a release date for the Xbox One, but the games on Microsoft's list provide a window into when we might get our hands on it. Battlefield 4, for example, is expected to launch on Oct. 29 in North America, while Call of Duty: Ghosts is coming Nov. 5. Microsoft covers itself a bit, however, by saying that the titles are "targeted" to be available at the Xbox One launch. Check out the full list below. Like Sony, Microsoft has been dragging out the release of Xbox One news in order to drum up buzz for the console. It was first unveiled in May, while pricing was announced in June at E3. Microsoft has made a few tweaks to the console in the past few months amidst feedback from gamers. Most notably, it dropped the always-on Internet requirement and also announced support for indie game self-publishing. More recently, it said the Xbox One will not require the Kinect to operate, though Microsoft has no plans to sell the console without the sensor. Sony, meanwhile, is expected to announce the PlayStation 4 launch date at an event at Gamescom today.
