NEWS Updated on :12:13 pm, August 13, 2013 Mercedes sold 810 units in July, ahead of Audi which sold 705 units. Mercedes Benz India, it seems, is on its way back to winning days. In the battle for luxury car supremacy in the Indian market, the brand has rebounded in July 2013, outselling Audi and BMW, to reclaim the top spot. Mercedes managed to edge past Audi, though not by much. The company in fact sold 810 units in July, ahead of Audi's 705 units. That represents an increase in sales of 53 per cent for Mercedes, all thanks to recently launched compact models like the A-Class and the B-Class diesel. BMW, which continues to stay mum on sales figures, is said to have finished third. Mercedes' superiority can be traced from the fact that the company has been steadily launching a slew of new cars off late, besides updating the existing ones. With the new A-Class, the B-Class diesel and the E-Class racking up impressive sales numbers, the future prospects are looking very bright indeed.
