Lenovo Brings Android Tablets A1000, A3000 and S6000 to India - Gizbot

Lenovo is primarily a PC hardware company in India, and around the world. Its image as smart device maker is yet to proven. Nonetheless, the Chinese major is aggressive, as far as new line-up is concerned. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer TVC  is surely catchy, however, does the same apply with newly launched tablets. The cheapest of them called the A-series, is meant to target first-time tablet buyers with focus on affordability and style. There are two models introduced today under A-series - Lenovo A1000 and the A3000.

The Lenovo A1000 comes with a voice calling facility. It has a 7-inch display having a 1.2GHz dual-core processor under the hood, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, two front sided speakers, expandable storage up to 32GB via microSD card and more. The tablet will be available in Black color, and is priced at Rs.8,999 in the Indian market.

The other tablet PC under A-series is Lenovo A3000. It has comparatively better processor - a beefy quad -core one ( MediaTek) , a 7-inch IPS display having resolution of 1024 x600 pixels , 3G HSPA+ support ( Voice calling enabled ), and expandable memory up to 64GB via microSD card , amongst others. The A3000 is priced at Rs. 16,999 in India.

Apart from 7-incher, the makers behind K900 also introduced the new 10-inch tablet called LenovoS6000. It is primarily meant to play games and web-surfing. The device comes with a 10.1-inch wide angle display having resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Under the hood, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor is present, of course MediaTek powered. The tablet is super thin at super slim at 8.6mm thin and weighs 560grams. It has all the essential connectivity features: Wi-Fi, micro HDMI port, microphone, and optional HSPA+. The S6000 is priced at Rs. 27,000 in the market.

Lenovo also launched a premium hybrid Windows 8 tablet. It's a PC and tablet at the same time. The IdeaPad Lynx K3011, is the first wave "Wintel" premium productivity Tablet, with a detachable keyboard design, latest Intel processor, and Windows 8 Pro. You have to shell Rs.51,990 to own Lenovo IdeaPad Lynx K3011.

Lastly, Lenovo has clubbed its ThinkPad brand, by integrating tablet like features. Lenovo named this tablet - ThinkPad Tablet 2. It features a 10.1-inch IPS display, Windows 8 Pro, and 10-hours of promised battery. The tablet weighs just 565 grams. User can purchase an optional Bluetooth dock plus multi-monitor support. The product is aimed at professionals. The ThinkPad Tablet is available for Rs. 50,000 (taxes not included).

The new tablet range introduced by Lenovo will be available across company owned stores. Consumers can also Lenovo branded tablets from multi-format stores. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates.
