After the slew of budget phones launched in India, looks like it's time for tablets. Intex, the domestic tablet maker recently launched their budget Intex i-Buddy Connect II tablet in Indian in the sub-10k segment. Just like major budget devices launches, Intex i-Buddy Connect II was also launched online via an e-commerce firm.

Intex i-Buddy Connect II is an Android tablet which runs on the slightly outdated Android ICS version 4.0. Just like most budget tablets in the Indian market, Intex i-Buddy Connect II comes with a 7-inch capacitive display. The WVGA screen comes with a resolution of 800 x 400 pixels.

Under the hood runs a dual-core 1.5 GHz cortex A5 processor. The tablet is a budget device but the presence of a dual-core processor will definitely boost up the performance. The tab comes with an internal memory of 4 GB. Expandable memory up to an additional 32 GB is supported via MicroSD card slot. However, the tablet comes with just 512 MB RAM. The lower RAM might slow down performance, especially while watching heavy media files or while playing games.

Intex has provided the tablet with a dual-camera. While the tablet comes with a 2 MP rear end camera, the front camera is a basic VGA calling camera. The tablet does not support LED flash and auto-focus. However, Intex has definitely managed to win over Indian hearts by providing even a rear-end camera is a budget device.

On the connectivity front, the tablet is a calling tablet and supports a SIM card. The tab can be used both, ever EDGE/3G or WiFi. The SIM card slot is definitely an added plus and wins the tablet maker brownie points. Other connectivity options are the same.

Intex i-Buddy Connect II comes with a host of pre-loaded apps. The apps range from social networking apps like Facebook, Nimbuzz, Skype and Gtalk to games like Fruit Ninja, Moto Racing, Alpine, Angry Birds, Chess , Carom, etc. The tablet also comes preloaded with Office Suit  PRO for the working professional and an Educlass app for kids!

Looks like Intex has got it all covered pretty well. However, so many apps will definitely take up battery. Intex i-Buddy Connect II comes with a 3000 mAh battery and promises a standby time of 300 hours with 5 hours talk-time and 5-6 hours browsing time with WiFi.

While Intex i-Buddy Connect II was launched at Rs 8450, the tablet is available on e-commerce stores at Rs 7500. Compared to the price, the specifications are definitely brilliant and the tablet is well worth the cost!
