5 Best Full HD Display Smartphones To Buy in India - Gizbot

India is now the third- largest smartphone market in the world in terms of total smartphone shipments, according to the latest report by Canalys. The smartphone shipments in India grew by 129 %. Further, the report also mentions about top five players making waves in the Indian handset market. Samsung has emerged as the No.1 player in the market followed by Micromax, while Karbonn, Nokia and Sony made up to top five.

Here the scope of selling " connected devices"  is immense. We have players, who are more focused on entry level Android based handsets, while other vendors like Karbonn, Micromax and Spice Mobility have become more aggressive about high-end Android powered handsets. For instance, Spice Mobility has recently unveiled its Full HD handset in the India market at Rs 16,900. On the other hand, Micromax is planning to launch FHD phone in September. The demand for such handsets is increasing on a rapid pace.

Sony India had launched its first Full HD smartphone - Xperia Z in India, back in March. Now the tech vendor has  once again comes up with even more epic handset - Xperia Z Ultra at Rs 46,990. The success of Sony Xperia Z in India is an indication that consumers are ready to pay premium for better quality devices.

The South Korean titan LG is yet another player in the market focusing on premium natured devices. The Optimus G Pro is one such smartphone with a 5.5-inch display, Qualcomm powered quad-core processor and a 13MP camera. The phone is priced at Rs. 38,990 in the Indian handset market. LG is also planning to launch G2, another FHD smartphone in India around mid-September.

If Korean and Japanese players are making every effort to woo Indian players, than Chinese brands are also sincerely looking at Indian market. Few months ago, Lenovo launched its flagship handset K900 in the Indian market. Now, a senior executive over at Lenovo India told GizBot that a 32GB variant of K900 will be launched in India at Rs 30,000 around  first week of November 2013.

There aren't many players in the market, who are offering premium priced gigantic smartphones. Sony is the only tech vendor offering two Full HD smartphones in the Indian market. We have already told you about Xperia Z.

The South Korean giant LG has finally realized that the company needs a premium device like Optimus G Pro to dethrone Samsung in the Indian market. With LG Optimus G Pro, LG has proved that the tech vendor is moving in a right direction. The phone comes with a 5.5-inch display having a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 400ppi. It is powered by a 1.7GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, Adreno 320 GPU coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory (expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card). Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. There's a 13-mega pixel rear camera and a 2.1-mega pixel front facing camera. Full HD video recording facility is there. Other connectivity options include: 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and a 3,140mAh removable battery.

After dominating PC market, Lenovo is now trying to be a leader in the smartphone world. The No.2 smartphone vendor in China wants to replicate same model in India as well. The K900 is the flagship handset launched by China-based Lenovo Group. The Lenovo K900 comes with a 5.5-inch IPS display having resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 400ppi. It is powered by a 2GHz dual-core processor powered by Intel Atom Z2580 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB ROM (non-expandable). Android 4.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box with Lenovo's own home backed UI on the top. There's a 13MP rear facing camera with Auto Focus, Dual LED Flash Light and F/1.8 lens on the board. Samsung is undoubtedly the most poised handset markers around. From Galaxy S3 to Note 2, this South Korean giant follows all the right content to make its devices recognized in the market. It is is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory ( expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card). Android 4.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. There's an 8MP rear facing camera with Auto Focus and dual LED Flash light. Also add a 2MP front facing camera. The makers have added a 2100mAh Li Ion battery.
