There were multiple speculations of the Samsung Galaxy Note III and with just a month left the rumors are definitely getting stronger. According to the latest leak, the smartphone phablet will feature a 5.7-inch screen. Unlike previous rumours which had pegged the display of Samsung Galaxy Note III at being 5.9 inches or 6-inches, the latest news brings down the size considerably.

Looks like Samsung has decided to increase the screen size by 0.2mm with each edition of the Galaxy Note. While the first Note came with a screen sixe of 5.3-inches, the Galaxy Note II took it to 5.5-inches. For a bit it looked like Samsung would double the increase in the screen size but then looks like the company is back on track with a 0.2mm increase.

Apart from the screen size, not much is known. That the phablet will debut with a 3 GB RAM has been no secret and the improved RAM is all but confirmed. The phablet will reportedly sport the latest announced Android Jelly Bean 4.3 version. While the news is great, we are worried that this might delay the shipping of the phablet considerably. The phablet is also said to be LTE compliant. We aren't surprised as Samsung recently released an LTE version of their current flagship Samsung Galaxy S4 in South Asian markets.

While the screen size has increased, we guess this means a thinner bezel or a larger phone in general. While the Samsung Galaxy Note II might have seemed compact and comfortable to hold, we are not sure how exactly a 5.7-inch screen will fit in one hand.

Samsung launched their Mega series, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 as cheaper but larger phablets. However, the phablets have not been very successful so far and the large size has been more of a deterrent. The size not only makes it difficult to hold the phone with one hand but is also clumsy to type. The 5.7-inch screen might be the mid-way out but we still wish Samsung stuck to their screen instead of trying to make it larger and larger with every launch.
