| MANAMA: Nokia has announced that the Nokia Asha 501, the first of a new generation of smartphones to run on the new Asha platform, is available in Bahrain. The Nokia Asha 501 features distinctively Nokia design, a faster and more intuitive user interface and smarter Internet experiences - all at an affordable price, the company said in a statement yesterday. "The new Nokia Asha 501 helps people quickly access everything they love with just a simple swipe," said Nokia Middle East vice-president Tom Farrell. "The compact, easy-to-use device weighs 98 grams and has a scratch-resistant, tempered glass display featuring a three-inch capacitive touchscreen. "The new Asha comes with the Nokia Xpress Browser pre-loaded, which compresses Internet data by up to 90pc, making mobile browsing faster and more affordable. "The Nokia Asha 501 retails for BD33," he added. via Technology - Google News http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t&fd=R&usg=AFQjCNEeNJzMG_cpbZ9a8bx_iIvu2-54jg&url=http://www.gulf-daily-news.com/NewsDetails.aspx?storyid=356826 | |||
