![]() Samsung's Galaxy family welcomed a new addition today: the Galaxy Ace 3 smartphone. The third iteration in the Ace series "synthesized a multitude of smart features to produce an enriched user experience suitable for everyday life," according to the South Korean phone maker. Powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the Ace 3 boasts a 4-inch display, as well as a 5-megapixel rear camera, with features like Sound and Shot, Best Photo, and Buddy Photo Share. It also comes pre-loaded with Samsung exclusives like S Translator for instantaneous translations, S Travel with guides and information, and S Voice's voice command functionality. The Ace 3 also comes with Smart Stay, which recognizes when a user is searching for their phone, and saves battery life by using advanced facial recognition to dim the screen and power down when the user looks away. Also, Easy Mode provides an intuitive home screen mode for streamlined access to the most used functions. The Ace 3 runs a 1-GHz dual-core processor, and will work on 3G or 4G networks depending on where you live. There is 4GB of internal memory, expandable to 64GB via micro SD. The latest addition to the Galaxy lineup weighs in below Samsung's flagship Galaxy S 4 — a 5-inch, 1,920-by-1,080 full HD Super AMOLED touch-screen device. In fact, the GS 4 sold more than 10 million units globally in less than one month, turning it into the company's fastest-selling smartphone to date. There is no word yet on when the Galaxy Ace 3 will hit shelves, where it will be available, or how much it will cost. ![]() via Technology - Google News http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t&fd=R&usg=AFQjCNEMuX-Rf3BIfbqVHnzeGlYoEcCRjQ&url=http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2420176,00.asp | |||
