More from Blackberry: New A10 full touch screen handset - Northern Voices Online

The Ontario based BlackBerry previously known as Research in Motion seems to be working on next generation flagship handset BlackBeerry A10. From Z10 to A10 the journey is not going to be very different and reports suggest that the new handset will come with many improved features for the full touchscreen handset like its predecessor Z10. The handset has become necessary for the Canadian company known for its QWERTY handsets around the world. But with smartphone sizes becoming big and many QWERTY apps available on Android and iOS devices like iPhone and iPads, the charm for full touchscreen handset has substantially gone down.

Now people love full touch screen handsets and even diehard BlackBerry fans may face difficulty in convincing themselves to shell out close to $800 to buy a handset with just 3.1 inch display that is not sufficient to either read books, newspapers, magazines, watching video or film or typing a long e-mail. Though the charm for many people to use a physical QWERTY keypad may still look genuine, this seems to become more niche product with very few takers.

This may be reason that the Canadian company is working hard on its full touch screen handsets. The handset will likely replace the BlackBerry Z10 to become the flagship model of its new software. It is hoped that the BlackBerry A10 would come out with a higher-end touchscreen, great processor and other quality specs, and it will lock horns with the Galaxy S4, iPhone 5S and the other top-of-the-line phones. After the release of BlackBerry A10, the Z10 and Q10 are expected to be mid-tier offerings of the brand new BlackBerry 10 OS. Along with the A10, a projected entry level BlackBerry Q5 will serve as the budget option. It is heard that the U.S. carrier Sprint Nextel would support the upcoming A10, but there seems to have no agreement signed between BlackBerry and Sprint, however.

So far not much is known about it and many analysts have said that the new BlackBerry A10 is a mystery BlackBerry 10 device, which is teased by the company CEO Thorsten Heins. It is now expected that the new BlackBerry phone would come by November this year. By the way, its BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 have already hit many markets, with the Z10 has been in global stores for a long time. With a new and innovative firmware update, BlackBerry (formerly RIM) is working hard to gain some grip in the fast-growing smartphone market. The once-upon-a-time dominator of the smartphone market has its repute sunken in the floods of Apple iPhone and Androids later. Now, with two great phones – with the BlackBerry Z10 for regular users and the Q10 for business friendly users – the company has already made an initial thrust.

It is right time that the company works to expand its full touchscreen inventory and comes out with cheaper versions in the days to come.
