The handset was being speculated for the last several months and now Nokia has finally said that it is launching the handset in the US on Verizon network. Finland based smartphone giant is trying to make its presence felt once again in the market in high-end smartphone market and so this launch. The company's top end Windows Phone 8 handsets haven't done well in the US market so far and now to take care of this issue, the Finnish tech company is introducing an improved version of its flagship WP8 handset Nokia Lumia 920 that was introduced late last year. Nokia Lumia 928 is considerably lighter than Lumia 920 that was one of the heaviest handset in the top smartphone segment. Now those people would like to go for the handset who have been an avid Windows Phone 8 fans but didn't like Nokia Lumia 920 due to it being weighty. To be true, Nokia has been sorely disappointed due to the fact that company could sell only 400000 handsets in the last quarter. Compared to other smartphone manufacturer this is simply nothing and very unimpressive. But experts believe things should change with the arrival of Nokia Lumia 928 on Verizon. The new smartphone from Nokia is an improved version of Lumia 920, but many of its features remain the same. Nokia Lumia 928 as well as Lumia 920 both are powered by the very same Qualcomm 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. Their screen size and resolution is also the same that is 4.5-inch and 1280 x 768 resolution respectively. The camera also largely remained the same. The handset is set to be introduced in the market during Nokia Media event beginning May 14. There is one major difference between the two. While Nokia Lumia 920 felt like a brick as it was very heavy at around 190 grams, the new handset is a lot lighter at 162 grams only. Another important difference will be the fact that the new handset will come with Xenon flash. Nokia is also claiming that its camera is considerably better than the previous Lumia 920.
