NEW DELHI: Today Google, the search engine giant, celebrates Leonhard Euler's 306th birth anniversary with an animated Google doodle. Leonhard Euler (15 April 1707 - 18 September 1783) born in Basel, Switzerland, was a physicist and mathematician whose contribution and discoveries are considered to be significant in the fields of infinitesimal calculus and graph theory. His area of work included continuum physics, algebra, lunar theory, trigonometry, geometry, infinitesimal calculus. And his work is used as references to explain a large number of topics. Euler had his early education in Basel. His interest in mathematics was discovered at his early age.
