What's This? ![]() Stan Schroeder2013-03-11 08:53:09 UTC LG has launched its Optimus L5II smartphone in Brazil, followed by a rollout in South and Central America, Europe, Asia, Russia, the Middle East and Africa. Showcased at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Optimus L5II is a mid-to-low-range smartphone, designed for those who deem the company's Optimus G and Optimus G Pro too big and pricey. It sports a 1GHz single core processor, a 4.0-inch WVGA screen, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage memory, a 5-megapixel shooter and a 1,700mAh battery. It's powered by Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and comes in four colors: Indigo Black, White, Pink and Titan. The device also has a couple of LG-specific UX enhancements, including a customizable Quick Button hotkey, and Safety Care, which allows users to alert pre-selected recipients in urgent situations. It will be available both as a single and dual SIM model, but the pricing for each individual market has not yet been revealed.
