In a bid to expand and grow in emerging markets, Jaguar Land Rover along with their parent company Tata Motors is contemplating production in India.
XF and Freelander 2 are JLR's best-selling models in India, where it sold 2,288 cars in the year to March 2012, up 157% from the same period in the previous year. Local production will work to the company's benefit. It will enable the company to avoid high import tax on completely built cars, which was raised from 75% to 100% in the current Union Budget 2013. Globally, JLR will be presenting their new 9 speed automatic transmission Evoque and electric Land Rover Defender at the Geneva Motor Show, starting tomorrow. ![]() via Technology - Google News http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t&fd=R&usg=AFQjCNE7FE-sHZK5PG1B1jYIWtT8v6Eo6g&url=http://www.rushlane.com/jaguar-land-rover-plans-to-1268168.html | |||
